Crocheted Straw Bags

Yvette’s Bags and Beads started as a hobby of owner/designer Yvette Marie Celi-Punzalan, who made these crocheted straw bags for herself before it eventually grew into a business, thanks to the positive feedback from her family and friends.

"When I began, I trained a group of women and taught them how to crochet the straw material we would be using for our bags and embellishments. It is my objective that this series of trainings and seminars would motivate them individually and encourage them to have a positive outlook in life," shares Punzalan, who describes her colorful handbags as a reflection of her bright personality.(Source: http://www.citem.gov.ph)
