Beaded Items From Kardelle

Beaded Items From Kardelle
Initially started as a company that manufactures garments for babies in 1989 – doing orders mainly for Australia, Europe and the United States of America until 1995, Kardelle Industries, Inc. shifted into a company that designs and manufactures Christmas ornaments in order to survive the time when the garments exportation industry in the Philippines began to go on a downswing.

Since the reception for the ornaments was good, expansion of products was inevitable. It added Christmas trees and other decors to its product line and moved on to produce an all-season collection for the home using all natural materials as embellishments. It was such a hit – mostly in the United States of America. Hong Kong, Europe and in the Middle East countries, earning substantial yet very significant amounts during the years 1998 to 2004 amidst the gloomy export situation.

In 2006, Kardelle decided to shift its focus once again to the production of Christmas decors and ornaments as new materials and styling came in with the times. At present, the company continually upgrades its designs, develops new ideas and comes up with distinct collections in order to penetrate a wider audience in the international arena while staying true to its mission – which is to showcase Pinoy artistry and creativity at its finest.
Recently, the company has begun to offer selected products to the local Philippine market in order to share and let them be kept abreast with what Kardelle continues to offer.

It's All About Basket

handicrafts

The company started out in 1986 as a basket manufacturer supplying various handicraft products to various Philippine exporters. From humble beginnings as a home-based business, the products manufactured then were baskets mostly of rattan and wicker. As the company gained more experience over time, the product line expanded into home decoration and home storage baskets making use of a variety of organic renewable materials. Our baskets are delicately handcrafted by the fine hands of Filipino craftsmen.

In 1994, the company finally decided to export directly and started sending its handmade products to the Americas, Europe, and all over Asia.

Today, the company is now known as a reliable source of houseware baskets especially for the kitchen and for storage baskets. All our products are still handmade using various natural materials including abaca, buri, hyacinth, wicker, among others. We are known for producing affordable Houseware, Caddies, Storage, Hampers and prepack assortments .

The company, due to popular demand, has also started serving the local market with its growing taste for high-quality, handmade baskets. We sell to both institutional customers and directly to consumers through various retail events. Please see our "News" page for more details.

Philippine Handicraft

Established in July 23, 1987, Craft Mill, Inc. is a multi-awarded, Filipino-owned manufacturing firm that takes pride in its environment-friendly creations, its clean, consistent workmanship, & its distinct style that has managed to stay abreast of trends, while still retaining the original character that sets Craft Mill apart from other handicraft producers & exporters also using paper, fabric, leather & natural materials that are indigenous to the Philippines.

Aside from being a viable business, Craft Mill has embraced as part of its mission to teach skills to the unemployed members of marginalized communities near its factory, including home-crafts that could help idle housewives be productive and earn a living. It is probably one of the few handicraft companies with the capability of training and developing groups of subcontractors in their own factory, before establishing their separate, independent workshop.

Craft Mill has also assumed the task of sharing its sophistication in design and concept with weavers around the archipelago, with the goal of elevating their level of quality, and teaching them consistency and an improved "sense of deadlines".

The Good Hands of Handicraft

Buena Mano

Buena Mano, meaning "good hand", produces exquisitely handicrafted treasures, Christmas and holiday decors, giftwares, gift boxes, and other novelty items. The company owes its success to its strict adherence to high quality standards and its commitment to develop innovative and trend-setting products enabling the company to capture the high-end international market.

In the beginning, the company produced "smocked Christmas bells"; years later it has shifted to "tapestry cord-decorated Christmas bells"; "beads on velvet and satin fabrics" in various colors. The shift paved the way for more buyers to access the now diversified product lines consequently increasing sales.

Buena Mano's product development team continues to develop new designs and items to add to its current product portfolio. "We're always the first to come up with something new, and that's the reason why we are surviving" says Ms. Villa-Real, president.

Ms. Villa-Real insists that quality is the company's passport to exporting, hence, it conducts regular training and briefing on quality standards to its workers including the subcontractors. Moreover, the training helped draw-out creative inclinations of employees, aside from improving their capabilities in materials management and other skills", Villa-Real reveals.
