The Cigar type cigarettes are a blend of dark, air-cured Philippine tobaccos principally sourced from the Cagayan and Isabela provinces where the stronger flavor tobacco is harvested. There are two categories: Matamis and Regaliz.

Matamis are wrapped in "sweetened' white cigarette paper and are sold under the following brands:

• La Campana Matamis
• Campanilla Matamis
• Magkaibigan Matamis
• Cortos La Campana
• Rosalina Matamis
• Corona Matamis

Two other Cigars in white unsweetened paper are sold under the brand name

• Magkaibigan Blanco
• Alhambra Blanco.

Regaliz on the other hand are wrapped in dark brown (commonly referred black) sweetened paper imported form France and are lengthy (120 mm long). Middle-aged women in the provinces are the common smokers and are usually oddly smoked with the lighted part inside the mouth of the smoker. The cigarettes are sold under the following brands:

• Ms. Philippines Fat
• Ms. Philippines Thin
• La Flor de Filipinas Fat
• La Flor de Filipinas Thin
• Marka Niyog Fat
• Marka Niyog Thin
• Malaya Largos
• La Dicha
• La Flor de Luzon

The cigar-blended cigarettes are hand-packed by women factory workers called "Kahistas" in thirty (30) sticks per pack. The packing process is done by the scoop of hand by these trained "Kahistas" who used their hand as mold in bundling the sticks in 30's and package them in a five angled pack in swift and continuous motion.

The 30 sticks distinctive type of packing is characteristic of the cigar cigarettes such that this phase of the manufacturing cannot by mechanized. If the contents are reduced to 20 sticks in order to mechanize the packing their captive market would be misled that the cigarettes are no longer the Cigar Flavored Cigarettes but the milder tasting American Blends.
