Naga was so blessed not only for having The Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia and even the late DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo but also for having Baycrafts Jewelry that can provide source of living for local Bicolanos.

Baycrafts Jewelry started as past time by a young bicolana named Marianne Olano, a graduate of Development Communications from Ateneo de Naga University. Later this passion had turn into business. On 2004, Baycrafts was founded and accepted some orders. This products included wired necklace and bracelets made from copper, crystals and pearls. They even also venture into crocheted jewelry such as arm cuffs made from cotton, yard and beads. The latest products that they have are barefoot sandals made from waxed cord, shells and acrylic beads.

Today, Baycrafts was really proud for being a Philippine home grown company that penetrated the world market through the help of social networking sites. The company is a member of Naga's One Town One Product(OTOP)by the Department of Trade and Industry, a government program that will highlight entrepreneurs with their unique regional products.

Manila Welcome Industrial Corporation is a handicraft export company established in January 1989. The Company was first located at Dona Felisa Syjuco Building with just an office and a showroom. At that time they only have four people running the business namely; a merchandiser, a secretary, a driver and the general manager.

Since the company have no warehouse to speak of; most of our deliveries go straight to the showroom. After this humble experience, they then partly shared a warehouse together with another company. After this warehouse sharing, the company decided to rent a warehouse of its own in Pasay City in late 1989.

Beaded Items From Kardelle

Beaded Items From Kardelle
Initially started as a company that manufactures garments for babies in 1989 – doing orders mainly for Australia, Europe and the United States of America until 1995, Kardelle Industries, Inc. shifted into a company that designs and manufactures Christmas ornaments in order to survive the time when the garments exportation industry in the Philippines began to go on a downswing.

Since the reception for the ornaments was good, expansion of products was inevitable. It added Christmas trees and other decors to its product line and moved on to produce an all-season collection for the home using all natural materials as embellishments. It was such a hit – mostly in the United States of America. Hong Kong, Europe and in the Middle East countries, earning substantial yet very significant amounts during the years 1998 to 2004 amidst the gloomy export situation.

In 2006, Kardelle decided to shift its focus once again to the production of Christmas decors and ornaments as new materials and styling came in with the times. At present, the company continually upgrades its designs, develops new ideas and comes up with distinct collections in order to penetrate a wider audience in the international arena while staying true to its mission – which is to showcase Pinoy artistry and creativity at its finest.
Recently, the company has begun to offer selected products to the local Philippine market in order to share and let them be kept abreast with what Kardelle continues to offer.

Philippine Handicraft

Established in July 23, 1987, Craft Mill, Inc. is a multi-awarded, Filipino-owned manufacturing firm that takes pride in its environment-friendly creations, its clean, consistent workmanship, & its distinct style that has managed to stay abreast of trends, while still retaining the original character that sets Craft Mill apart from other handicraft producers & exporters also using paper, fabric, leather & natural materials that are indigenous to the Philippines.

Aside from being a viable business, Craft Mill has embraced as part of its mission to teach skills to the unemployed members of marginalized communities near its factory, including home-crafts that could help idle housewives be productive and earn a living. It is probably one of the few handicraft companies with the capability of training and developing groups of subcontractors in their own factory, before establishing their separate, independent workshop.

Craft Mill has also assumed the task of sharing its sophistication in design and concept with weavers around the archipelago, with the goal of elevating their level of quality, and teaching them consistency and an improved "sense of deadlines".

Buena Mano

Buena Mano, meaning "good hand", produces exquisitely handicrafted treasures, Christmas and holiday decors, giftwares, gift boxes, and other novelty items. The company owes its success to its strict adherence to high quality standards and its commitment to develop innovative and trend-setting products enabling the company to capture the high-end international market.

In the beginning, the company produced "smocked Christmas bells"; years later it has shifted to "tapestry cord-decorated Christmas bells"; "beads on velvet and satin fabrics" in various colors. The shift paved the way for more buyers to access the now diversified product lines consequently increasing sales.

Buena Mano's product development team continues to develop new designs and items to add to its current product portfolio. "We're always the first to come up with something new, and that's the reason why we are surviving" says Ms. Villa-Real, president.

Ms. Villa-Real insists that quality is the company's passport to exporting, hence, it conducts regular training and briefing on quality standards to its workers including the subcontractors. Moreover, the training helped draw-out creative inclinations of employees, aside from improving their capabilities in materials management and other skills", Villa-Real reveals.

It is the same technology that Filipino seafarers brought to Mexico through the Spanish Galleon trades to create the now popular tequila. Coconut vodka was the drink in those ancient times, on those far eastern shores. It was, in a manner of speaking, a tribal drink, one that sealed brotherhoods and with which the day's bounty was enjoyed and shared. It is this spirit that VuQo Premium Vodka hopes to recreate and celebrate today.

The subcontracting status continued for at least 5 years and finally in the year 1996, the owners decided to venture into the furniture exporting business under the legal business name Tables and Chaise Vico Designs Manufacturing Corp., catering world class furniture products to some other parts of Europe until finally becoming a regular and most reliable supplier of a prestigious distributor of furnitures and accessories in France. Philippine Produce Feta Cheese

Feta Cheese

When you're into business, it's like you're also putting your money in a gamble. The return of your investment could not be 100 percent sure, or even resulted into bankruptcy.

But this fate had not happened to the owner of the JSJ GOAT FARM, Jeffrey and Kathleen Lim when they put-up their hobby turn business. Out of 10 purebred goats in June 2001 they successfully breed 300 heads as of today and continuously expanding in their 10 hectares pasture in Barangay Caturay, Gerona, Tarlac.

To acquire more upgraded breed of goats, in March 2005 they imported hybrid goats from Australia. Some of the breeds that they have now are the Boer, Anglo Nubian, Saanen and British Alpines. Aside from goats they have also sheep like the Dorpers.

Out of the goats that they breed, they sell this for market consumption. Others are for the production of milk which the supply in the supermarket are not enough to cater the demand.

Because of excess production of milk, the owner then eventually started to think for a solution which can even generate another income for their pocket. Until, they come up in studying the process of cheese making. It took about a year the perfectness of Feta cheese production.

Feta (Greek: φέτα) is a brined curd cheese traditionally made in Greece. Feta is an aged crumbly cheese, commonly produced in blocks, and has a slightly grainy texture. It is used as a table cheese, as well as in salads (e.g. the Greek salad), pastries and in baking, notably in the popular phyllo-based dishes spanakopita ("spinach pie") and tyropita ("cheese pie") and combined with olive oil and vegetables. It can also be served cooked or grilled, as part of a sandwich or as a salty alternative to other cheeses in a variety of dishes.

Today, Aussie Feta Cheese is now available in market with an introductory price of P250. Aside from this they have also the kesong-puti a perfect combination of the hot pandesal for a typical Filipino breakfast.
