The owner of Ilocos Food Products, Clemencia A. Padre has also joined the wine industry by introducing locally available fruits and fermenting the extracts.
Aside from basi which was already been famous long ago from the Ilocano ancestors, Padre has also tried to produce wines coming from duhat, bignay, tamarind and the newest among them is the tropical wines which she combines four (4) famous fruits such as mango, tamarind, duhat and siniguelas.
Today, the company is also exporting these wines to the other parts of the world.
