Pinipig Chocolate Coated Polvoron

Chocovron is a chocolate-coated pulvoron made from a perfect blend of toasted flour, butter, sugar and other ingredients compressed to form solid little cakes. These fragile little snacks are given a whole new twist by coating them with either dark bittersweet chocolate, creamy white chocolate or both. Raw materials are sourced locally. The product has a shelf-life of 3 to 4 months.

Chocovron has added specially selected flavors to pulvoron that compliment its buttery flavor, and crushed cookies and nuts to give the pulvoron both a distinct flavor and crunchy texture. Chocovrons are available in boxes of 6 and 12 pieces (with net content of 300 gms); and in plastic retail packs containing 12 pieces.

ChocoVron Global Corp. started as a single proprietorship (family) venture through a husband-and-wife endeavor in 2003. After a free tasting spree among family members, neighbors and friends, a formulation for chocovron polvoron was perfected. The couple realized their first delivery of 10 packs around in the first quarter of 2003.

Production capacity now runs to about 1,000 packs a day or 26,000 packs a month. A product of Laguna (Region IV A), chocovron is now available around the country through dealership, and the network continues to grow. It now has 15 regular workers, and employs more during peak season.
