Ilocos Food Products (IFP) started as Ilocos Food Chichacorn in 1989 carrying solely chichacorn (crispyfried corn), a popular snack. Clemencia A. Padre, the vibrant owner of this single proprietorship type of business located in Brgy. Taleb, Bantay, Ilocos Sur, Philippines experimented with other food business possibilities, given the abundant resources in her hometown.

Padre has vigorously pursued promotional activities and actively participated in locally and internationally organized trade fairs. Her efforts have been recognized in national and local exhibits and trade fairs. She has also garnered provincial awards as Most Outstanding Entrepreneur in the Manufacturing Sector (DA and NEDA) and the Regional Gawad Saka Award as Outstanding HVCC Processor, given by DA and the Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council.
